To be entered into the drawing, no purchase is necessary.
There are 3 ways to enter:
1. Fill out the Official Entry Form online.
2. Fill out the Official Entry Form and mail it to: "The UniversalFlowers.com Free Flowers For A Year Sweepstakes", P.O. Box 39129, Indianapolis, IN 46239.
3. Those who make purchases between Dec. 18, 2007 and Feb. 14, 2008 will be automatically entered. (Making a purchase does not increase your chances of winning.) |

1. NO PURCHASE NECESSARY:
No purchase or online entry necessary to enter or win, nor will a purchase increase your chances of winning. Open only to persons 18 years of age or older upon entering who are legal residents of (and currently residing in) the 50 United States or the District of Columbia. Contest begins at 5 p.m. EST on 12/18/07 and ends at 5 p.m. EST on 02/14/08, Eastern Time (the "Entry Period"). To enter online, fill out an UniversalFlowers.com Entry Form, which is displayed on the main Sweepstakes Rules page located on the UniversalFlowers.com Web site at www.UniversalFlowers.com. You will be asked to provide your name, mailing address, telephone number, age and email address. All online entries must be received by 5 p.m. EST on 02/14/08.
To enter by mail, send a postcard on which you have hand printed your name, mailing address, telephone number, age and email address (if available) to: "The UniversalFlowers.com Free Flowers For A Year Sweepstakes", P.O. Box 39129, Indianapolis, IN 46239. All mail-in entries must be postmarked received by Feb. 14, 2003. All entries become the property of Sponsor, and none will not be acknowledged or returned.
Those who make purchases on UniversalFlowers.com between Dec. 18, 2007 and Feb. 14, 2008 will be automatically entered. (Making a purchase does not increase your chances of winning.)
Limit one (1) entry per person (regardless of whether a person has more than one email address) or email address (regardless of whether more than one person uses the same email address), regardless of means of entry.
In the event of a dispute about the identity of an online entrant, entries made online will be declared made by the authorized account holder of the email address submitted at time of entry. "Authorized account holder" is defined as the natural person who is assigned to an email address by an Internet access provider, online service provider, or other organization (e.g., business, educational institution, etc.) that is responsible for assigning email addresses for the domain associated with the submitted email address. If a potentially winning entry is an Internet or other computer entry, the potential winner may be required to provide Sponsor with proof that the potential winner is the authorized account holder of the email address associated with the winning entry.
This Sweepstakes is void where prohibited by law.
2. WINNER SELECTION:
One (1) Grand Prize winner and Four (4) First Prize winners will be selected by a random drawing from all eligible entries received. Grand Prize Drawing is to take place on Feb. 14, 2008 by an independent judging organization whose decisions are final with respect to all aspects of the Sweepstakes. Odds of winning will depend upon the number of eligible entries received.
Random drawing for Grand Prize to be held 02/14/08 at 5 p.m. One (1) Grand Prize winner will receive "Free Flowers For A Year," with the total number of orders not to exceed 12 (or one per month), with total cost value not to exceed $1,200 (or $100 per month). Winner must pay difference if orders exceed limitations stated in these rules.
Throughout the duration of the Contest, four (4) random drawings will be conducted whereby entrants will have the opportunity to win 20% off of one future order. The drawings will be held as follows:
a) Drawing #1 to be held 12/25/07 at 5 p.m. EST.
b) Drawing #2 to be held 01/01/08 at 5 p.m. EST.
c) Drawing #3 to be held 01/14/08 at 5 p.m. EST.
d) Drawing #4 to be held 02/01/08 at 5 p.m. EST.
Grand Prize winner will be notified by telephone, U.S. mail, email (if provided) or overnight courier within seven (7) days after drawing date and must execute an Affidavit of Eligibility and Liability Release, which must include the winner's social security number for tax reporting purposes and the winner's name and address and, where permitted by law, a publicity release, within seven (7) days following attempted notification. The winner will be required to return documents within seven (7) days. Non-compliance with these requirements may result in disqualification and selection of an alternate winner. Return of any prize notification/documentation/prize as undeliverable for any reason may result in disqualification and selection of an alternate winner. If a winner is ineligible, cannot be notified, or is disqualified, an alternate winner will be selected. Any selected entrant is not officially a winner until Affidavit of Eligibility and Liability Release and, where permitted by law, a publicity release has been executed and returned and entry validated. First place prize winners will be notified via telephone, U.S. mail or email (if provided).
This Sweepstakes is subject to these complete and Official Rules. Official Rules will be posted on the UniversalFlowers.com Web site throughout the Entry Period. Winners List may be posted on the UniversalFlowers.com Web site on or about February 14, 2008. Official Rules and Winners List may be obtained by sending a self-addressed stamped envelope to: "The UniversalFlowers.com Free Flowers For A Year Sweepstakes", P.O. Box 39129, Indianapolis, IN 46239. Indicate "Rules Request" or "Winners List" on the outside of the envelope as applicable. Requests received more than 60 days after the completion of the Entry Period will not be honored. VT residents may omit return postage. Limit one (1) request per outer envelope.
4. QUALIFICATIONS:
Odds of winning will be determined by the total number of entries received per Drawing. All prizes will be awarded.
5. VERIFICATION:
Prizewinners will be notified within seven (7) days of drawing by e-mail, phone or overnight delivery. All Prize winners subject to verification.
6. ELIGIBILITY:
This sweepstakes is open only to persons 18 years of age or older upon entering who are legal residents of (and currently residing in) the 50 United States or the District of Columbia. Void where prohibited or restricted by law. Limit one (1) entry per person or email address, regardless of means of entry. Sweepstakes ends Feb. 14, 2008. Employees (and the members of the immediate families or households of such employees) of UniversalFlowers.com Inc., and their respective parents, affiliates, subsidiaries, related entities, retailers, agents, advertising and promotional agencies and anyone involved in this Sweepstakes' production, development or handling, and all other Sweepstakes promotional partners are not eligible.
If Prize winner is ineligible or prize notification is returned as undeliverable or Affidavit and Release are not returned within ten (10) days of notification, Prize will be forfeited and an alternate Prize winner selected. There will be no substitution of any prize, except at the Sponsor's sole discretion, in which case a prize of equal or greater value will be awarded. The cash equivalent of the Prizes will not be substituted, except at the sole discretion of the Sponsor. Entry constitutes Prize winners' permission to use his/her name, photograph and/or voice recordings for advertising and publicity purposes without additional compensation or permission, except where prohibited by law.
8. TERMS:
By participating entrants agree (a) to abide by these Official Rules and by the decisions of the Sponsor and the independent judging organization, which are final on all matters pertaining to this Sweepstakes, and (b) to release, indemnify and hold harmless UniversalFlowers.com Inc., and their respective parents, affiliates, subsidiaries, divisions, distributors, related entities, retailers, sponsors, partnerships, representatives, wholesalers, vendors, contractors, licensees, successors and assigns, directors, officers, principals, shareholders, employees and agents, their advertising and promotion agencies and anyone involved in this Sweepstakes' production, development or handling, and all other Sweepstakes promotional partners (collectively the "Promotional Partners") from and against any and all liabilities, litigation, claims for damages, losses or injuries of any kind, including death, resulting from or in connection with the Sweepstakes or from (i) altered, late, lost, delayed, damaged, destroyed, garbled, misrouted, misdirected, mutilated, illegible, stolen, inaccurate, incomplete or postage-due entries or human, telephone, computer, online or technical malfunctions (including busy lines and disconnections) or (ii) their participation, or (iii) the awarding, acceptance, receipt, possession, use, misuse, loss or misdirection of any prize or preparing for or participation in any prize-related activity and any travel related thereto. This Sweepstakes is governed by, and these rules will be construed and interpreted pursuant to, the laws of the United States. All federal, state and local laws and regulations apply. Restrictions, conditions and limitations may apply.
Prize winners further grant to Sponsor the right to use and publish their proper name and state online and in print, or any other media, in connection with the Sweepstakes. By accepting a prize, winner grants permission for Sponsor and Promotional Partners and their advertising and promotional agencies to use winner's name, address, photograph, likeness, voice, prize information and/or biographical information and statements concerning the Sweepstakes for publicity, advertising and promotional purposes in any media without further compensation, unless prohibited by law. This Sweepstakes may be presented in different creative presentations by the sponsoring company. Entrants consent to being placed on a mailing list and give UniversalFlowers.com permission to send promotional emails and mailings about UniversalFlowers.com unless they have elected otherwise on the entry form (opted out). Entrants must allow cookies to be set on their computer in order for the origin of their online entry to be verified.
9. PRIVACY:
By entering into the Sweepstakes, entrant agrees to UniversalFlowers.com's use of your personal information as described in UniversalFlowers.com's Privacy Policy at http://www.UniversalFlowers.com/ unless the entrant has elected otherwise (opted out) on the entry form. The personal information collected during the promotion will be not shared with any other advertising, marketing or promotional parties.
10. CONDUCT:
Sponsor reserves the right at its sole discretion to disqualify any individual it finds to be tampering with the entry process or the operation of the Sweepstakes or Web site; to be acting in violation of the Official Rules; or to be acting in an unsportsmanlike or disruptive manner, or with intent to annoy, abuse, threaten or harass any other person.
CAUTION: ANY ATTEMPT BY AN ENTRANT OR ANY OTHER INDIVIDUAL TO DELIBERATELY DAMAGE ANY WEB SITE OR UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF THE SWEEPSTAKES IS IN VIOLATION OF CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LAWS, AND SHOULD SUCH AN ATTEMPT BE MADE, SPONSOR RESERVES THE RIGHT TO SEEK DAMAGES FROM ANY SUCH ENTRANT TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.
11. LIMITATIONS OF LIABILITY:
Sponsor and Promotional Partners are not responsible for typographical, printing, or other errors in the offer or administration of this Sweepstakes, including but not limited to errors in advertising, the Official Rules, the selection, notification and announcement of the winners or the distribution of the prizes, nor are they responsible for any incorrect or inaccurate information, whether caused by Web site users or by any of the equipment or programming associated with or utilized in the Sweepstakes or by any technical or human error which may occur in the processing of submissions in the Sweepstakes. Sponsor and Promotional Partners assume no responsibility for any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, communications line failure, theft of or destruction or unauthorized access to, or alteration of, entries. Sponsor and Promotional Partners are not responsible for any problems or technical malfunction of any telephone network or lines, computer online systems, servers or providers, computer equipment, software, failure of email or entrants due to or resulting from technical problems or traffic congestion on the Internet or at any Web site or combination thereof, including injury or damage to entrants or to any other person's computer related to or resulting from participating or downloading materials in this Sweepstakes. If, for any reason, the Sweepstakes is not capable of running as planned, including infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures, or any other causes beyond the control of Sponsor, which corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of this Sweepstakes, Sponsor reserves the right at its sole discretion to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Sweepstakes without obligation or prior notice and in such event to select the winners by random drawing conducted by an independent judging organization from all valid entries received up to the time of such cancellation, termination, modification or suspension. Sponsor and Promotional Partners are not responsible for the inability of a winner to accept a prize for any reason, nor for cancellations, delays or interruptions, nor will they replace any lost or stolen prize items. Due to possible scheduling changes, Sponsor reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to adjust the dates/times of this Sweepstakes.
